Na fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o convencional de PCB, muitos desses furos s\u00e3o formados por perfura\u00e7\u00e3o mec\u00e2nica, onde uma broca rotativa corta cobre, resina, fibra de vidro e outros materiais laminados.<\/p><p>A perfura\u00e7\u00e3o a laser utiliza um m\u00e9todo diferente. Em vez de cortar o material com uma broca f\u00edsica, ela emprega energia de laser focada para remover material atrav\u00e9s de abla\u00e7\u00e3o. Durante a abla\u00e7\u00e3o, o material absorve a energia do laser e \u00e9 rapidamente aquecido, decomposto, vaporizado, derretido ou ejetado da \u00e1rea de perfura\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p><p>Na manufatura, os lasers de CO\u2082 e os lasers UV s\u00e3o comumente utilizados sob diferentes condi\u00e7\u00f5es de processo. Um furo menor requer uma broca mais fina. \u00c0 medida que a broca se torna mais fina, ela se torna mais fr\u00e1gil e mais sens\u00edvel a desgaste, vibra\u00e7\u00e3o, deflex\u00e3o e quebra.
